Total Accreditation Management & Evaluation (TAME)
This product is used to TAME the accreditation management process for public safety agencies. Originally developed to facilitate the Oregon Accreditation Alliance's Recognition Program, it has been adapted to manage the process required by the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) for law enforcement, communications, and training academy accreditation. It has also been adapted to support the recognition and certification programs of the states of Georgia and Washington.
The program tracks the accreditation process to include assignment of standards for review and development; monitoring of time sensitive activities and required reports for accreditation maintenance; tracking and monitoring review of agency directives, statutes, administrative rules, and other supporting documents. Alert procedures are built into the program to notify the program manager that an activity needs attention.
Charts and reports support the program management to keep agency members and the CEO informed of the progress.
The accreditation process is truly TAMEd by this program.
Case Management
Case assignment and management is integral to effectively solve reported crime. This product tracks assignment of cases and the activity associated with the cases. Analysis tools help the investigative supervisor balance the case load among investigators, evaluate the time taken to work cases, monitor and track investigator activity on cases, link suspects and complainants to series cases, and track assignment activity of supervisors.
Internal Affairs Management
A well managed internal affairs process instills public confidence in an agency's ability to monitor and address inappropriate activity. It is also essential to assure agency personnel that the process is fair, timely, and objective.
The Internal Affairs Management product helps an agency track the complaints against an agency and/or its employees. Tools are included to keep the complainant informed of the process, protect the rights of the employees, and report the results of the investigations conducted. The product can be tailored to provide annual reporting information to accrediting agencies.
Tracking multiple complaints from a single source helps identify frivolous complaints, patterns of harassment, and public concerns that need to be addressed by the agency's chief executive officer.
Monitoring the complaint pattern of employees reduces the agency liability by identifying performance problems and inappropriate activity at an early stage. Early detection gives the agency an opportunity to provide additional training or counseling rather than disciplinary action.
The program can also be modified to incorporate tracking of vehicle accidents or damage to vehicles by employees. Agency grievances and lawsuits can be included for analysis and reporting to accrediting agencies.
