Total Accreditation Management & Evaluation (TAME)
This product is used to TAME the accreditation management process for public safety agencies. Originally developed to facilitate the Oregon Accreditation Alliance's Recognition Program, it has been adapted to manage the process required by the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) for law enforcement. It has also been adapted to support the recognition and certification programs of the states of Georgia and Washington,
as well as the Internation Association of Campus Law Enforcement
Administrators (IACLEA)..
A version of
the program is available to support the accreditation process for the
Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) for
fire agencies.
There is also
a version for support of the American Corrections Association Adult Local
Detention Facility accreditation process. That version can be purchased
with a module to include the accreditation process for the National Commission
on Corrections Health Care (NCCHC). If an agency is only interested in
NCCHC accreditation, that module is available as a separate version.
The program tracks the accreditation process to include assignment of standards for review and development; monitoring of time sensitive activities and required reports for accreditation maintenance; tracking and monitoring review of agency directives, statutes, administrative rules, and other supporting documents. Alert procedures are built into the program to notify the program manager that an activity needs attention.
Charts and reports support the program management to keep agency members and the CEO informed of the progress.
The accreditation process is truly TAMEd by this program.

Training
classes are offered throughout the nation to familiarize TAME users with
all aspects of the TAME program and to assist agencies in getting the most
out of TAME.
